Hypothetically, one might as well fight and probably die now in that scenario while taking out a few of the Gestapo thugs with you rather than peacefully going to the death camps. The camps would be an assured death and so may the fighting, but why lay down now for the hope of only a few weeks time filled with torture and finally death.

If there were to be Gestapo thugs always having to wonder if the next door they knocked on, with intent to kidnap the occupants and force upon them the death vaccine, was going to be the last door their eyes would behold, the operation might have a shortage of willing Gestapo agents volunteering to roundup the unvaxed.

I have read and understood that people who had experienced these types of undesirable choices and outcomes, often had to make up their minds ahead of time on the coarse of action they would take. Otherwise, if the plan of action was not already in place, they would find themselves captured and on their way to the death camp before they recognized that they should have taken a stand in their own home when the Gestapo or secret police or brown shirts came for them.
