Born and raised. And I didn’t even get to ask all the blacks how they feel. 50 million is a lot of people to lump into the category of ‘went for a holiday and asked them’.
"Born and raised"
So you have a narrow viewpoint then? It's takes a different perspective to see the difference between your ass and your elbow, if you were raised there you get use to your view of your ass and believe it to be true. We all do it, that's why we travel and read books for empathy.
And I did say SA, I didn't say "the entire African continent." They were there for 2 weeks, doesn't make them experts but their experience is what they relayed to me.
Well, good to know she found out in 2 weeks what ‘the blacks’ think. Black South Africans belong to multiple tribes, languages, cultures and beliefs and practices. I reserve the right to be mildly insulted when my fellow countrymen are all lumped together in one group called ‘the blacks’.
Your phony outrage is very entertaining!
Lol so’s yours 😁
First I said holiday.
Then I said SA.
To clarrify I then said two weeks.
Nowhere did I say 50 million or the entire African continent.
But you got 'oh wow you know what all 50 million blacks think'
???
Since SA is much richer than the rest of Africa, quite sure they have their own culture or behaviours and thinking. So maybe it's possible she saw two weeks of unhappy black South Africans working there??
I for one, 100% know the elites are racists and Africa is used as a petri dish for their experiments, which is why the African continent isn't allowed to rise as what we've seen in Asia and the west.
Which is believable that the blacks are unhappy there because of the huge gap of rich vs poor. She even saw segregation barriers barring the poorer of places.
Get what I'm saying or are you going to put words into the convo again which I didn't say?
South Africa, the country, has a population of around 50 million blacks. Africa the continent has many, many millions of spare blacks.
"Segregation barriers"? Or do you mean the entrances to gated communities - that were created to stop bad guys from murdering residents? Things that have only sprung up due to the authorities' inability to fight one of the highest crime rates on the planet. If these were 'segregation barriers', then why is the black government doing this?
You say there's a huge gap between rich and poor - Rich and poor is NOT "blacks" and "whites", The South African government currently robbing the country to enrich themselves.....White, are they? There are more wealthy blacks than there are whites.
How about the police and military?
South Africa USED to be the richest nation in Africa. That status is declining quite sharply as it turns into another Zimbabwe. The national electricity supplier (Eskom, run by 'the blacks' since 1994) can't keep the lights on - it's worse than californie - they've had roilling blackouts for almost 20 years now)
Who are 'the elites' in South Africa? What is their ethnicity?
These 'blacks' of which your wife and her friend speaks - were they South African blacks or one of the millions of illegal immigrants who brave river crossings with crocodiles and hippos just to get some of that sweet, sweet oppression.
And if 'the blacks' are unhappy - with a black president and government since 1994 - what do white folk have to do with that?
No I got what you were saying. Your wife and her friend went to SA on holiday for 2 weeks and spoke to the blacks and found out how they feel. Not a few blacks, not a dozen or a hundred. Just, the blacks. No worries 😉
Nice grammatical complaint
No grammaticals here, it just made me chuckle and I made a jokey dig to the guy and people started writhing in outrage. I’ll try be more sensitive to the fragile in future.
So it was nothing to do with grammar, but PC phrasing.
Your whole comment was outrage because the comment said "the blacks" as opposed to "the black people [there, where I visited]". Like how some prefer "The Jewish man" over simply "The Jew". Some might call this "fragile" but people have their reasons.
Your comment has been deleted now, but I saw it originally. And it was wholly indignant at the phrasing. If you're South African, maybe that phrasing is indeed racist there, I don't know.
But the outrage was confined to the deleted comment.
Nope, no comment deleted. At this point having to actually explain the joke makes it not funny any more.
SA is home to tens of millions of blacks from numerous tribes, cultures, languages, beliefs. Plus millions more black migrants from across Africa. SA has super rich blacks and super poor blacks. Same for Indians, whites, coloured. Opinions vary widely from group to group.
He said his wife met ‘the blacks’ and now knows how they feel. I wasn’t offended. Wasn’t outraged. Wasn’t bothered. Just found it funny. It made me laugh. As in, ha ha, that’s funny. A million different opinions and tribes etc. She must have spoken to all 50 million to know how ‘the blacks’ feel. Wasn’t even speaking for ‘the blacks’, it just made me chuckle.
South Africa is not like any other country, it has 11 official languages ffs 😂
