I am not a doctor but I practice alternative medicine and these things work to lower uric acid...tart cherry pills or juice (which is pricey), the homeopathic colchicine (available at Vitamin Shoppe) and magnesium. My husband just went through this.
Thanks. I have been drinking Black Cherry juice, and eating tart Cherries.
I wasn't aware that you could get homeopathic colchicine (sic) at health food venue.
I think drinking protein shakes is probably what brought it on, and indeed did some research that pretty much says that the whole pitch that one need a protein charge after workout is bogus, and could exacerbate gout.
This is the worst case I have ever had, in both feet for about five days. It's nearly gone now, and hopefully want return for at least year or so, as is usual.
The homeopathic is colchicum autumnale. I don't know if it corrected it wrong but this is the correct name. Tart cherry tablets are pretty cheap and if you found the amount you needed every day and took it daily or several times a week, I believe you could kiss gout goodbye. You could keep the homeopathic on hand if you ever feel it coming on and stop it in it's tracks. Do you know about homeopathics? How to take? I had one episode many years ago and decided I never wanted to experience that again and haven't.
You mean like MJ oil. Is that the kind that gets you high. I can't do that. Last time I smoked some of my sister-n-laws medical marijuana, (That shit ain't like the stuff we use to have) I .... well, we don't have to go there.
Got anything for the GOUT?
