Thanks. I have been drinking Black Cherry juice, and eating tart Cherries.
I wasn't aware that you could get homeopathic colchicine (sic) at health food venue.
I think drinking protein shakes is probably what brought it on, and indeed did some research that pretty much says that the whole pitch that one need a protein charge after workout is bogus, and could exacerbate gout.
This is the worst case I have ever had, in both feet for about five days. It's nearly gone now, and hopefully want return for at least year or so, as is usual.
The homeopathic is colchicum autumnale. I don't know if it corrected it wrong but this is the correct name. Tart cherry tablets are pretty cheap and if you found the amount you needed every day and took it daily or several times a week, I believe you could kiss gout goodbye. You could keep the homeopathic on hand if you ever feel it coming on and stop it in it's tracks. Do you know about homeopathics? How to take? I had one episode many years ago and decided I never wanted to experience that again and haven't.
Colchicine is the name of the ingredient that is active in the homeopathic medicine colchicum autumnale (30c) There is also the drug colchicine that is used for gout. The homeopathic is under $10.00 for 80 pellets. When you use the homeopathic put one pellet under the tongue and let it melt. Drop it into the lid
and don't touch it. Don't eat or drink or brush teeth 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after...strong smells can antidote the remedy. You can use a pellet every 1/2 hour until pain subsides. Stop taking and only take it again if the symptoms come back. Usually it spaces out until you don't need it any more. It is easy when you get used to dealing with homeopathics. That's a good way to use colchicine without a prescription.
I much appreciate this information, and will look further into it.
It's funny we are conditioned from childhood, at least I feel I was, to think that anything that does not come out of the establishment medical community is voodoo, the brew of charlatan witch doctors, and that if the doctor said take it, it can't be harmful, they would never harm us. There very cred is "do no harm."
Turns out the main main guy in the pharmaceutical sales chain is not the pharma sales rep, it's the doctors themselves that are the main pitchmen for big pharma. I will never again blindly trust a doctor, or accept the prescriptions they write.
The practice of medicine today is more a practice of following charts, and recommendations made by the pharma companies. Doctor sees this condition, of test result in y axis, they follow it to matching matrix result, and prescribe the latest wonder drug that has an information sheet printed in such small font it would take an electron microscope to read it.
I am pretty convinced that advances in medicine are not as much the reason we are all living longer, as is the fact that we no loner shit into and drink from the same water source, that we have better hygiene than olden times. It is no accident that decline in deaths attributed to vaccinations follow the exact same curve of number of people with access to clean drinking water.
You ever see those people who have the little plastic boxes to remind them what pills to take each day of the week, for the rest of their lives, lots of them with multiple rows of meds. Those people are FUCKING STUPID. Big Pharma loves these people.

Oh I thought you were misspelling Colchicine which is also a gout treatment.
Do you know about homeopathics?
