so, just throwing tbis out there.
The pilots that are flying are vaxed. And now are logging more flight hours.
So the likelyhood a pilot has an episode mid flight is going through the roof right now.
How long before even more planes start crashing.
Southwest Airlines actually takes care of their planes... and the employees care about the customers. That said, their planes are unlikely to crash. They have the best luggage policies in the air, and their employees aren't jerks. I live close to Bush International Airport... but drive an extra 25 miles to fly out of Hobby so I can take Southwest Airlines (up until recently).
It's not like United or American Airlines. I wouldn't fly on either right now for both safety reasons... and because they are abusive to passengers. If I had no other choice but to fly United or else drive across the country... I'll choose the 3 days and drive it.
I mean from the vax perspective. How many pilots have gotten the jab that could have an emergency medical.issue mid flight. What is the risk of planes falling out of the sky due to pilots being vaxed
The risk of planes falling out of the sky due to the all of the pilots on board being vaxed and simultaneously keeling over dead with no warning signs... is less than your chances of winning the lottery with a ticket you found in a parking lot. :>)
Never going to happen. It's a good thing to worry about though.
Now, the chances of several pilots actually having heart attacks, breathing problems, blood clot issues, neurological problems during a flight... and then the FAA having to GROUND every vaxed pilot pending a full physical... is actually about 50/50.
Both cabin officers conkinh out unlikely. It's a redundant system, they can land with a comatose or worse pilot
I've had to check on and feed my neighbor's cats for 2 extra days... because she flew Southwest Airlines, is now stuck out of state and can't get back until tomorrow.
Taking one for the team, I guess.
I wonder if Paul Revere ever had to watch someone else's cats as part of the cause?
That is worldwide. Less than 10% of those are within, to or from US (158 out of 1629). I doubt the worldwide number is due to unjabbed pilots.
Exactly.
Actually there is nothing really out of the ordinary with this data. Anyone who is well travelled knows this too well.
Look at the data per airline. Southwest only has 2% cancelled.
OP, stop trying to make a drama out of nothing, it serves no help to the real issue.
Post first and don't ask questions later.
Good. I can't fly so NOBODY can fly. Works for me, the unvaxxed. God is doing this.
I'm just trying to make sense of these numbers. I wish they could show historical information beyond "yesterday", because these numbers are tracking to yesterday's numbers.
Southwest stands out for sure, but it doesn't look crazy.
