The Devil goes by many names : Molach, Ba’al, Lucifer, Apollo, Osris; all these secret societies worship the diety other than Jesus & the God of the Bible. Satanist represents satanism aka a suggested belief (-ism). Nature doesn't suggest anything; it offers everything; while demanding choice based reaction from every one within (aka adaptation).
Get out; stand still and wait...while the demand for thirst; hunger; shelter and breathing will force you to adapt...how long does one have to wait before consent to believe in suggested satanism (or any other -ism); becomes a needed demand?

Hell, which group ISN'T "resposible for promoting these ideas into Western society"? [Although OldPatriot's post actually talks about blackmail and other means of coercion of those in government]. But back to the "ideas" thing:
Who has been trying to mess with our minds, in ways that benefit special interests? Damn near every special interest that exists. Big Pharma, the Pentagram and the rest of the Military-Industrial Complex, half a dozen foreign nations, most or all of our own intelligence agencies, Satanist Cabal members, "Educators" from pre-school to grad school, Marxist idiots and the psychopaths who use them as tools, Rockefeller and his allopathic "medicine" leading to today's medical/pharma nightmare, etc. ad nauseam. In addition to financial motives, LOTS of groups and individuals have been working to weaken America and to bring her down, since before we won the Revolution. Buying or blackmailing those in government has always been a major tool for that, as has working to twist the public's paradigms into something beneficial to special interests instead of beneficial to the people as a whole.
As the only large, powerful nation committed to human freedom, we've always been a target and always will be. -- Unless and until we root the bulk of that corruption out of the world.
Yes, some of the bad guys are Jewish (yeah sure, you didn't use the word). So what. Some aren't Jewish; also so-what. Evil and corruption manifest within people of every race and ethnicity -- and so does good.

Given your post and your username, you might enjoy (or, uh, hate) scientific Idealism -- the theory that reality is fundamentally mental and that the physical world IS INDEED basically a dream of God's, with each individual living thing hosting a small, dissociated piece of the universal consciousness -- the soul, if you will. Bernardo Kastrup calls that bit of consciousness That Which Experiences, and it is the only reason we're not just physical zombies. The theory solves the "hard problem" of consciousness somehow emerging from the physical action of atoms and molecules and has much else to recommend it as well; many scientific papers have been published about it recently.
Of course, plenty of people think it's nuts.
