Umm...that's not a real position of military power. It's a title, like Surgeon General. And it won't last.
I'm a Navy Vet, enlisted but still a Vet, and this makes me laugh. No one takes this seriously. Nor should they.

Of course no one takes it seriously. However, it is like the Biden administration is mocking officers and their uniforms. The whole idea of military rank is that you start at lowest point and work your way up. Your uniform displays your accomplishments. What Biden here is like putting a uniform on a monkey and saluting it - it is mockery.
Why do you have to do that to monkeys. Monkeys are cute.
