Of course she's innocent. She wasn't guilty of anything---nor sentenced to death by a jury of her peers. What kind of twisted world are you living in?
The only reality is that she is a victim of involuntary manslaughter. Or, if you can find the guy who put the bullet in the pistol, perhaps the victim of an assassination conspiracy.
