You are RIGHT, but even here Folks don't like the truth about the breed.
Powerful and aggressive with no tells. Good for hunting but not good for young children or old people. They need an alpha owner and even then will test the boundaries you set on them... it's what they were created to do. There are many breeds that make good family pets but pits aren't one of them.
They and their mixes have the highest amount of kills of people even though they aren't a huge percentage among pets.
Just the facts, ma'am.......
Pit bulls are less than 6% of all dogs in the USA. https://dogbitelaw.com/vicious-dogs/pit-bulls-facts-and-figures
Nonprofit Releases 2020 Dog Bite Fatality Statistics - Attacks by Bull Breeds Increase and Trends from the 16 Year Data Set
Of the 46 deaths inflicted by dogs, pit bulls contributed to 72% (33), over 16 times higher than the next closest known breeds: American bulldogs, German shepherds, Mastiff/bullmastiff and mixed-breeds, each involved in 2 deaths. Pit bulls make up about 6.2% of the total U.S. dog population.* Fatal dog attacks with partially or fully unreleased breed data grew to 13% (6 deaths). The majority of these attacks (4 of 6) were pack attacks, involving 4 or more attacking dogs. https://www.pr.com/press-release/837539
