I've been on the meat / zero carb / carnivore diet and have done well with it.
But not all plant products are "not good at all for the body." Look at broccoli sprouts and sulforaphane. Some chilren with autism who have the fever shock response can be relieved of autistic symptoms when on this supplement.
What I know about Autism, its essentially brain damage. It is also made worse by the destruction of the gut. Diets have a HUGE impact (from my research) on autism. Fix the gut and you can fix a lot of behavior problems associated with autism. I know doctors that have taken children that were non verbal and couldn't walk and just by changing their diet and adding real nutrition the body can absorb. Those children are now walking and talking again. I also know you have to reverse the damage early. If you wait to long it won't happen once the body is grown. I guess eating veggies is better than eating a bunch of sugar, but its just cause your feeding yourself empty food with almost no nutritional value. One thing most people don't mention is that your body has to be able to break things down and absorb them. Certain things that are found in animal products are essential to life and cannot be found in fruits and veggies. You can't sustain yourself on just fruit and veggies, but you can on animal products.
I have a child with autism that becomes a normal person once she's on amoxicillin. 5 days later the autism comes right back. I've been trying to figure it out why for years. We thought it was motrin. They call it fever shock. There was a study conducted a few years ago, which various websites try to label as insufficient evidence, that sulforaphane produced this same response and about 37% of participants were free of autistic behavior while on the supplement.
Sulforaphane comes from cruciferous vegetables. The biggest one is broccoli sprouts which contain 1-400 times as much as others. This can be bought in a supplement like quercetin. I have not given it to my child yet, I just started researching it.
See FoundMyFitness Dr. Rhonda Patrick, she has a youtube channel which I'm going through slowly.

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria. Maybe your child needs gut health support.
