I have seen it said here that N Acetyl Cysteine can help restore some of the damage done by the spike protein, so perhaps it may be worth researching further to see if this has any promise.
Also to note that Amazon apparently pulled it from the shelves, so it has that seal of approval, but I am not a doc so YMMV.
Thanks, I actually do give NAC to my mom, since it's readily available where I live. I'm trying to get her to take it twice a day, since that's whats recommended. I do believe it does help, but it will take quite some time to heal. She does have minor chest and head discomfort on some days. But it seems her symptoms nowadays are much less painful when they come up compared to 2/3 months ago.
