Why do these laws matter? We already have amendments that protect our right to practice religion and our right to assemble. They didn't care and people complied anyway. More laws will do nothing. Unless they start arresting everyone who was complicit in Oklahoma, they are only deceiving you for re-election.
And be able to rotate, when my dad was critically ill 3 years ago my mom, sister, and I all took turns. Had we not been there he would be dead, no doubt.
The hospital visitor is a critical move. My family had an issue. To not be allowed to go in with a 18 year old with a ruptured appendix was criminal in our minds. He could not sign informed consent with fever and confusion. They threatened arrest. It was ugly.
I'm so sorry for you. Exactly this sort of thing is what I've feared would happen, or worse. The inhumanity and the lengths people are willing to go to is appalling.
Hospital one would be super nice. It was fun to text my husband every five minutes when I almost had a miscarriage. Luckily baby is fine but Covid made hospitals turn into places sick people don't want to go.

1 visitor is not enough. We need 2. 1 to comfort the patient, 1 to fight the protocols enforced by petty tyrants.
