Despite the incident, Mr Biden did indeed go on to make his speech regarding methane reduction.

He didn't get out of speaking, like the comment I responded to assumed. But you're correct. Very confusing article and title.

Yes, it was confusing. In the end, the distraction worked to be the news instead of what he mumbled about in "his" speech about methane of all things.
