Excerpts from wiki and from an ATLANTIC article for general background below.
What I allude to above is a comment President Trump made, I believe at a White House press briefing - not a rally speech, in 2017, maybe 2018. He made one of those cryptic comments accompanied with that "I know something you don't and that's why I got this cocky look" look that would get you ready for the equivalent of a verbal Trump tweet.
After commenting on some dirty dealing that was going on at the time and the press corps was blowing all out of proportion he made an aside comment in finishing his castration of some Democrats, stating (paraphased), "If you think that's bad some day I'll tell you about Bush Legs and Russia."
He seemed to be inferring, because the comment was in context of what ever the Democrats were trying to pull off at the time, that something really underhanded (crooked underhanded and not like the issues raised in the second paragraph of the ATLANTIC excerpt below) had taken place in regard to the supply of chicken quarters to Russia that started during the Presidency of George H. W. Bush and continued through the Presidency of Bill Clinton.
I have waited, patiently, for "that day" for years.
"Bush legs" (Russian: ножки Буша nozhki Busha) is a prevailing term in the post-Soviet states that denotes chicken leg quarters from the United States.
The expression first appeared in 1990 when Mikhail Gorbachev and George H. W. Bush signed a trade agreement about delivery of frozen chicken leg quarters to the USSR. In those times the USSR was experiencing food shortages and "Bush legs" enjoyed wide popularity.
In the early 1990s, a collapsing Gorbachev-era Russia was experiencing food shortages and hunger. President George H.W. Bush came up with a win-win solution: give surplus U.S. chicken meat to Russia. The U.S. has an insatiable appetite for white chicken breast meat, but in the process produces far more dark chicken leg meat than it could possibly consume. President Bush took that excess and sent it to Russia. The Russians devoured it, proclaiming the beauty of such enormous drumsticks, and to this day chicken hindquarters in Russian are often called "Bush's Legs."
Of course, good will and chicken gratitude did not last. By the 2000s, Russian President Vladimir Putin was complaining about the Americans' use of antibiotics, hormones, and sterilization in U.S. chicken. Russia may have accounted for 22% of American chicken exports, but the fears over the quality of U.S. chicken prompted a drastic curtailment of its production in 2010.
Bizarre how we've had the multiple "Chicken sandwich wars" over the past 2 years... Every fast food place trying to outdo the rest as to who can make the best chicken sandwich. Massive amounts of chicken sold and eaten. The claim was beef shortage. That explanation never cut it for me
Remember the fast spiking Covid-19 infection rates at meat (beef, pork, chicken) processing facilities back at the beginning of "flatten the curve."
We know now the testing kits were rigged to produce false positive results.
Targeting meat processing facilities by faking high Covid infection rates was a way to threaten to shut down the industry nation wide by the pandemic grift scam machine. Pay protection money of all your workers test positive.
It was the cabal threatening to shut down its own processing facilities under the fake threat of Covid infections unless protection money was paid. Evil genius
Trump's castled and threatened to take control of the industry (Defense Production Act - similar to the threat to invoke the DPA to prod GM and Ford to manufacture ventilators). Covid infection rates in the industry went way down.
This is one of those stories we will probably only get that 20% public exposure of. The other 80% will include what was done to "take out" Control and Command Positions that exercised the monopoly power in the meat processing industry. No different than the MSM. Somewhere up the chain its run by a handful of companies that use syndicate muscle, shell companies and visible boards of directors that change the light bulbs and flush toilets, hiding the criminal cabals that constitute the invisible boards of directors that really run the show. Easy to be legit when you own the lawmakers, the lawyers, and the courts.
The absolute best scam was the nose swab scam. Priceless. A couple of Trump's most memorable press briefings. Hope its in the movie.
Great post! Sorry, but what is meant by Bush Legs?

I am referring to the Italian Nose Swab Scam.
Did you miss President Trump telling the story?
