Luckily the verdicts will be the deciding factor or whether these criminals are brought to justice, and not a bunch of fucking low lifes on social media. It will get harder and harder to deny the facts as the sentences roll in.
I looked and it seems that the old story that "Republicans started this research" is the basis of objection. This point about "the Republicans" needs to be dug up and refuted to death.
I don't know the ins and outs on this one as came to it very late.

ERROR #1: The NYT calls Steele's work "Democratic-funded opposition research." In fact it was first funded by anti-Trump Republicans. After Trump won the 2016 primary, it later came to be funded by Democrats. So it was "anti-Trump research" funded by both parties' faithful.
Use your head Jonathan. Campaigns are allowed to fund opposition research. And if they come across criminal activity they are allowed to send that information to the feds. The federal investigation into Trump predated the Steele dossier anyway.
Are opposition researchers allowed to lie to the federal government in order to generate FISA warrants and use the FBI and NSA to do their dirty work for them at taxpayer expense? You're clearly not using your head here.
Reading the twitter thread, and particularly seth anderson, to me this looks like there is a move underway to start discrediting the NYT amongst lefties.
