Yep...I'm paying about $18-20 a pound for a good ribeye at the store. So now one of our neighbors is going to split a cow with us. Can get 500 pounds of beef from a farmer normally for $9 a pound. We have a farmer friend that is getting us a cow for $6 a pound. Makes me happy to support a local farmer.
I have a cousin who raises beef cattle. He said he can only get $1 a pound.
I've never bought a ribeye, but I bought some 85% hamburger for $3.29 a pound a week or two ago.
I've been watching prices. The price of hamburger actually went down last week. Yes gas is way up but so far food isn't rising much.

Wow that's cheap!
I know. I bought a bunch. I went back there two or three days later, and there was no trace of it at any price.
Based on a recent article someone posted, inflation is actually a good thing! So shut up and pay more, bigot! Genius journalists are telling us that this is good for us!!! :-P
...however, we have some nice soylent green steaks over here for only $1.99/lb...
12 bucks a lb. Costs zero dollars.
Or so I'm told.
Bill Gates of Hell needs us all to buy his fake meat products
You need to get your protein from bugs and worms. And, you will like them.
