I lost 100 pounds last year by fasting...drank so much water. You’re right...the system needs rest.
Interesting ...
;-)
When you are feeling sick, it is even better to drink no liquids for a few days. This forces your body to break down fat cells, where an extremely healthy form of water is stored (because your fat cells are the only source of water if you aren't drinking any).
This deuterium depleated water heals the body faster.
People who were severely overweight and lost the excess bodyfat often report that they still have saggy skin. Some of them have reported that dry fasting was the only thing that worked in getting their skin back to normal.
It cleans up the body.
I gotta get them muscles underneath all strong...the crushed lumbar discs did a number. After 15 years of that, I finally got the spinal fusion. That pain went away, but all the residual stuff was still there. Pain management has always been the focus. The belly skin is not attractive, but once my core gets stronger, i can pinpoint the real problem areas haha
Did the lumbar discs get crushed due to the excess weight?
I don't know anything about lumbar discs or spinal fusions. I do know some things about muscle. Many people who switched to a carnivore diet have reported that various pains went away and they naturally get stronger, even without working out.
Don't know if that would apply to your situation, but worth checking out.
BTW: What do you say to people who think fasting will be too difficult? How did you deal with the hunger, and how long did it take to drop the 100 lbs?
BTW, the reason anyone experiences cold or flu-like symptoms is because their body is trying to detox from a toxic overload (usually bad food, malnourishment, and/or some toxic substance).
Fasting allows the body to rest and cleanse. This is why it speeds up the healing process.
Naw, i had herniations that progressively got worse, andthe pain from it made me very immobile and i ate way too much. My muscles were on fire. Once i cut carbs, that was key. It was a mind over matter thing dealing with the hunger. I drank water when i was hungry to help control it. Took about 8 months for most of it to come off...ive maintained well for about a year
