So the State decides what is knowingly false. This is why we're in this mess.
Yes, you make sense. I'm open to admit I'm probably wrong objecting to this guy being locked up for lying. But what's next?
Opinions can be openly shown to be false nowadays by looking at only State approved information i.e. clotshot, election fraud, and plandemic. Which is exactly where we are in USA and most of the West.
The idea that the judiciary should decide what is true and false works only if the judiciary isn't corrupt. But then, what can be done if there isn't a supposedly neutral arbiter of truth in such cases?
We have already seen what happens next because it has happened. After Obummer reversed the Smith-Mundt Act he pushed through NDAA making it legal to detain and imprison an American citizen indefinitely with or without bringing formal charges let alone a trial. We have some examples of blatant abuses already - The Kyle Rittenhouse circus of a trial. The Jan 6th prisoners STILL sitting in a jail. There are other examples.
What happened in Myanmar ought to happen here but until we correct our legal system it probably cannot.
