That's probably because they say "This website contains humor, parody, and satire." A number of websites do that in an attempt to avoid being sued. Even though some of the things they say might be true.
I have heard that RRN is given some actual real info, but they are required to make it look real crazy (and put a "satire" warning) so that they will have plausible deniability, but are in fact tipping off Patriots to the extent at least some of what they say is true.
Also, Phil G says he knows for a fact that RRN has a source in the Pentagon, but doesn't know of any other sources, so wouldn't be inclined to believe RRN except for news that would seem to be something a Pentagon source would know.
