Mom's not doing well. I can't get any legal power to do anything. Lawyers can't help.
She's not at the worst she's been, but I can't tell if she is improving.
They told me her heart stopped 3 times and they had to medically paralyze her.
Found out later that was the patient in the room next to her and the nurse told me the wrong patient's information.
Incompetence run amok there. I have no faith in the medical system, all of it is left to prayer. Toss a prayer to the woman whose heart stopped 3 times as well. That family is probably having a far harder time than I am.
Thanks for the update. Are you allowed access to her? Someone here reported that a friend of theirs was using the horse paste by rubbing it into his hands. The poster said it was working. I have no experience, so I don't know, but if you can get in there, it's something to consider. Even if it's under the guise of praying for her. Holding her hands, praying, etc. Something to think about. Sorry it's such a terrible situation. And I have prayed for the other woman, as well. How awful.
I can only talk to her through a window, even though everyone on staff agrees that she is past the viral stage.
They are claiming she had an ivermectin overdose (horse paste), and using that as an excuse to claim she has the mind of a toddler.
I've taken 3 times the dose she has and she stopped taking ALL her medication when she got too sick to eat, so I know right then and there they are claiming that out of spite. They say she overdosed on it, but turn around and tell me they have no ability at all to check for the ivermectin in her system.
Fuggin' liars...
The doctor couldn't even tell me what remdesivir's side-effects were off the top of his head. He must have prescribed it to hundreds of people, yet he has no clue how it works or what the indications of side effects are.
...
It's totally in God's hands now. My sinus infection is coming back, so now I have to keep myself healthy while focusing on keeping my brother and father out of the hospital. I have no time or strength to help my mother now.
My aunt has agreed to help out and take care of my mother, but she's a super-liberal and still thinks the hospital is doing their best even though a nurse told me the wrong patient's health status. She's in total denial about how bad the medical system is and refuses to believe that it has put profits above the health of the patient.
My grandmother is also helping my aunt, but her and my aunt have never been close (one's on father's side one's on mother's).
Flatly put, I called some lawyers and I don't have the time, energy, or authority to do what I know needs to be done. Everyone thinks I'm crazy, and they might be right, as I'm showing signs of survivor's guilt.
Anyway, if you've read this, thanks for the sympathies. I'm not gonna give up fighting, but I know now you can't fight on two fronts at once. The hardest part is having to choose...

Thanks for the prayers.
Some days are hard. Rest up for a few days, rebuild your reserves and reapproach the problem when you are feeling fresher.
What an awful situation to be in. My sincere condolences and I will continue to pray for you and your mom.
Tell them you are putting her in hospice. You will be able to give her ivermectin then.
