After successfully completing the DRS of my GME shares, I called TDA to ask about transferring my DWAC shares. Last week I learned my DWAC and DWACW were successfully transferred out but that DWACU was not transferable and it would cost $500 to the certificate issued.
TDA told me they went to Computershare but after 5 days they were still not in my account. Today I get a letter from a company called “ Continental Stock Transfer & Trust” telling me THEY have my shares.
After going off on TDA customer service I looked up this new company and find they have been around since 2000. But if my account number represents the number of customers they have then something is not right. Any insight on this company is appreciated.
Every company has a designated transfer agent. For GME its ComputerShare.
I remember for DWAC is was a different company, cant be 100% sure if it was Continental Stock, but it sounds familiar.
You are correct, Bubbles! See above post.
Yes, Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company. Excerpt from the filing:

Thank you. I specifically asked TDA if they could go to Computershare and they said yes AND they confirmed today that’s where they sent them. Now I have no confidence in TDA and thinking about moving my account.
I wish I could help more, but I’m new to this. I heard Fidelity was pretty good, zero cost for trading and opening an account and no fees. May be worth a look.
Also, I read in someone’s post here that ComputerShare held GME shares specifically. Of course, from the filing, I learned that Continental Stock & Transfer will hold the DWAC and DWACW shares.
I’m going to look for that post I read. It was very informative.
Found it! u/Blurpy was the anon with the great info.

I'm with Fidelity and so far see no issues. I asked a rep about obtaining a physical stock certificate, and he was prepared to walk me through the process (which he said goes through ComputerShare) but I hadn't completed my purchase at the time of the call.
In 2022 DRSed some DWAC stock that I purchased through Fidelity. To do this, I simply called Fidelity and told them I wanted to DRS it and they said they would help me with that and said I'd find it on Computershare. But that was incorrect. My stock went to Continental Stock just like others on this thread have noted. Fidelity never told me where it went. And it was only later I realized, "Hey, what happened to my stock?" Thanks to txharleygirl and this thread, I called Continental at 212-509-4000 and the lady asked for my identifying information and found my stock. She said she'd send me a confirmation in the mail and she gave me a shareholder number and temporary password so I could log in and see my stock. Thanks frens!
