This is bad.
indeed.
i believe the timing of the Rittenhouse trial was lined up so they could sacrifice these 3 men.
the defense was more feckless than Kyle's
expecting an appeal.
Didn’t one of these guys just film the event, on his phone, and is basically gonna get life in prison?
yup, possibly life.
iirc, he was the owner of the truck that the jogger tried to get into while on his way.
the defense was weak and ineffective. one of them constantly complaining about sharpton, or one or 2 of the race-baiters in the gallery. i don't think the defendants got a proper defense. i didn't see jury selection, so i dunno how that process was done either, so a poison jury could have been possible, like Chauvin
If 3 guys enter a gas station to rob it and one of them just films on his phone is he or is he not responsible when one of the others murders the gas station attendant? 'I didn't know that would happen' is NOT an excuse .... is it?
Those 3 guys are committing a crime though. from what I saw from the video, 2 guys trying to stop a neighborhood thief, and 1 guy way behind trying to get it on video. Then the thief attacks the civilian trying to make an arrest, and gets shot. I mean people can go back and forth if citizens should try to make arrest(which I think they should), but a complete guilty verdict...what? And phone guy gets murder charge too??
If the guy filming had nothing to do with the ones trying (ineffectively) to make a citizen arrest then I agree with you. But the guy filming should have had a better lawyer! I predict an appeal based on ineffective council.
The guy filming it admitted that he had been trying to run the dude down with his car too. He was arguing that he wasn't armed so he shouldn't be charged the same as the other two.
As I understand it the filmer tried to plea out but the DA rejected it.
How do you get 5 counts of murder out of a single body? That sounds like quintuple jeopardy.
This was an amazing precedent - these people 'unlawfully' detained Arbery; and he (deciding it was unlawful) went for their gun and got shot. Now they call that 5 murders. Will they sing the same tune when this precedent is applied to police officer cases, then?
Another good example of the American justice system working tirelessly to oppress citizens and let criminals rule the streets.
You all may not agree but I have had my eye on this case from the beginning. OK, the jogger was a thief .... pure and simple. 3 men take enforcing the law onto themselves and try to apprehend the thief. The thief tries to get away and rushes one of the men who has a gun. The thief ends up shot dead. Notice I use NO SKIN COLORS .... just the facts. In my humble opinion, when you have 3 to 1 odds you are going to end up on the short end of the stick if the perp gets shot and dies. Unless the thief came up with a weapon and threatened your life then your weapon should not have been discharged. I felt right from the start that these 3 would be found guilty.
Dude, The weapon was only discharged AFTER the perp charged the guy, grabbed the gun, and began to fight for it. Is it unlawful to carry a gun? What are the OTHER options when a suspected criminal grabs your gun and is fighting you and trying to take the gun away? Just wondering!??
Anyone got an unbiased breakdown of the events that happened?
Saw this coming. If you expect a fair trial in the Atlanta area, and your accuser is black, you’re gonna lose.
