A new variant was named less than a week ago, they apparently already have a test for it worldwide, and all the leaders are saying the current vaccine and boosters will work on it.

Right? That PCR test is amazing! It can't tell the difference between Influenza A, Influenza B and Covid19. But it CAN tell the difference between Delta and Oncimorondondon.

Does anybody know what test, or test protocol was used to detect that "first" omicron case in California? The PCR tests, as they are being used, are pretty-much useless, are they not?
Wouldn't there have to be a complete isolation and a genetic breakdown to know for sure?

They figured out it was going to be too difficult to convince the masses that a new shot for a new variant was needed so they went with the new story that the original vax was good enough after all. But you do have to get that booster just to be safe. Their fear mongering is beginning to fall on deaf ears because the scamminess (yes, I just made that word up) of it all is getting more obvious every day. Maybe they will start in on the aliens again or an impending meteor collision to distract us for a bit.
New test will be an anal swab.
