Difficult times call for a little help from my Frens.
✝️ Scripture 🕊️
My husband had a stroke this morning. We sure don't know what awaits us on any given day. But I know God is good, and He's holding him in the palm of his hand. Would appreciate your prayers. Thanks, Frens. You're all the best here. Update: I am moved to tears by the outpouring here today. Once again, this board demonstrates that it is so much more than a board. It is community. Thank you all.
My friend's father had a stroke and lost the ability to play guitar for a while. Face slurred, the usual symptoms. Then he had a second stroke a while later that literally reset him and he's fully mobile and jams out again. Life can be so strange at times. Have you seen things like that?
Not really but the brain can be amazing in how it heals and devastating when it doesn't .. I have worked with all kinds of head injured people from accidents, strokes, etc) I was working with a guy who started to see again. He was complaining of bright lights and suddenly he was able to see clearly. Not sure what happened but it may have just been the brain making sense finally interpreting what is being seen or some kind of reconnection of the signals from the occipital lobe to his eyes.
The guy at church I play guitar with had a stroke, but actually recovered after months of rehabilitation.
I can't imagine what he played like before stroke because he is pretty dang good.
