My understanding of the way that the thyroid works is somewhere North of caveman, and somewhere South of God. What I think I understand is that a thyroid can be "maxxed" with iodine, after which the thyroid can (temporarily) not absorb/accept any more. This is what is behind the reasoning (as I understand it) of taking iodine if one is afraid of a nuclear blast near enough to harm you. Fill your thyroid up with "clean iodine", so that when the nuked-up particles shows up, your thyroid cannot absorb it.
It seems to me that your doctors should have known this, and given you iodine tablets before the procedure.
I honestly despise most doctors at this point, because it is my view that they are not looking at systems, are seeking a quick fix that can be done with machines or drugs, and spend most of their time doing paperwork (not their fault, per se).
My lung issue is not great, but I've done other things to harm my lungs in the past (tobacco), so I share the blame. And as long as I keep to a low sugar diet, I am generally fine. Not "20 years old and strong" fine, but fine. I do appreciate the kind thoughts and bedside manner.
As for your comment about the health of America, I fully agree.
You have a pretty good understanding of iodine for someone just north of caveman. Me thinks you know more than you give yourself credit for.
The problem with the way mainstream medicine thinks, that gets passed on to the public, is that we do not have nutritional deficiency here in the West. Nothing could be further from the truth. As I stated in one of my posts on this thread, the environmental halide toxins such as bromines, chorines, and especially the fluorines that many Americans are taking in their antidepressants, compete with iodine uptake and literally push it out of the body. Like Vitamin D, clinicians have been indoctrinated by their education and arrogance to think that we are in danger of too much nutrition. The only thing Americans get too much of is drugs, sugars, pesticides, herbicides, and electrosmog - all of which will rob the body of what little real nutrients that manage to get onboard. It is all by design.
I went into medicine because of what happened to me. I entered the arena in my thirties and not as a young wet behind the ears greenhorn with no life experience under their belt that could be easily hoodwinked. I had a career in electrical engineering before making the shift. (Long story how I ended up in engineering, but to suffice it to say, it was not my first choice - medicine always was my first draw.) I did not want what happened to me happen to anyone else and I wanted to understand why there are so many people like myself and you. I discovered the huge gaps in education - especially where nutrition and environmental toxicity is concerned. The more you know, right? I could see that people have been primed for certain disease states by the created underlying environmental and nutritional states. Then, unleash a bioweapon like SARS-CoV-2 and see what happens. The problem with this latest release for them is that it did not pack the punch that the previous two trial runs had - MERS and the first SARS outbreak. Therefore, the latest run has been more hype than actual pandemic. The toxic inoculations are what is continuing to drive this beast.
There are several competing agendas all working at the same time. What I think will work to our advantage, if we can separate ourselves from the contrived narrative designed to keep us in the dark, is to understand the competing agendas and pit them against each other. Find the weakness in each one and exploit it. I know Dr David Martin is hitting hard against the pharmaceutical Achilles heal because all of a sudden I have notice several hit pieces from within the so called Patriot movement against him. We have sleepers imbedded in the movement just waiting for orders and we need to do a better job at identifying them and calling them out. Anyway, Dr Martin knows the nuts and bolts and has developed the strategy of attacking the liability shield by bringing criminal charges against Big Pharm. He is in talks with several state AGs because they have been inundated with citizen inquiries about the matter. He has prepared documents with all the facts and supporting information. So, all that research work has already been done and all the AGs need to do is verify it and run with it. A class action against Big Pharm for criminal conspiracy would be ideal. Once they loose their liability shield, how fast do you think they will stop distributing their kill shots? The house of cards comes crashing down and it could bankrupt them. This could serve to be an awakening for the public into all the other nasty stuff they have been poisoning us with.
It might be a little rough at first for some, but taking the power away from Big Pharm and forcing people into other strategies for achieving and maintaining health, will in the long run, be the best for us.
Btw, it's my view that in all of the top 20 (probably top100) vitamins, hormones and minerals/metals, Americans are "Deficient" or "Very Deficient". Even the crap they sell us seems designed to do this. "Oh I'm healthy because I take Vitamin C and B12 and D and Calcium and Flaxseed Oil!" Great... the C is industrial waste, the B12 is cyanocobalamin not methylcobalamin, the D is ... well whatever it is it's not D that will get absorbed, the Calcium is not taken with counter-balancing Minerals and a fat so if you are lucky you'll just shit it out, and if you are not you'll give yourself kidney stones and/or gout, and the Flaxseed Oil is Omega 6 and not 3 and is more appropriate for preserving your wood furniture than your health. But... aside from thaaaaat....
Amen and amen fren. I knew you had a lot more under the hood than you let on. You are right on about most of what you say, like you, I try to research where my supplements come from and there are very few manufacturers I trust. About every couple of years I have to review my lists because company leadership can change - and that change in leadership usually means cutting quality to maintain profit margin. We do the best we can because sourcing for clean product is dwindling as more and more of the planet is polluted.
Here is something you may have not known about Vitamin B12. Methylcobalamin is a better choice than cyno - unless there is a high mercury load already in the body - like when someone has mercury fillings, especially if they drink a lot of hot liquids and grind their teeth. Even though some of the mercury is absorbed by the surrounding tissue, it is the mercury vapor that is breathed into the lungs that is the most damaging. (Another reason to take NAC.) That constant uptake of mercury can be methylated. Methylmercury or ionic mercury can enter any cell in the body and both forms are very toxic. Because of mercury's lipophilic nature, it has an affinity for nerve cells which are about 75 percent fat. So, when someone calls you a fat head, they are actually paying you a complement. Lol. This is one of the big reasons I have never been a fan of statins. It attacks cholesterol that is needed for structure - especially in the brain. Most of the inflammatory cholesterol made by the body is from SUGAR and not animal products. The cholesterol myth.
Hydroxocobalamin avoids many of these issues of methylcobalamin by not adding methyl groups to soup. I have mine compounded by a pharmacy in Vegas. Otherwise, there needs to be other supplements taken to bind free floating mercury before it is incorporated. Once it is in the cells and binds to proteins, it is very difficult to remove from the body. By far, mercury is one of the most difficult heavy metals to clear. So, the best way to mitigate damage from mercury is to limit exposure.
I have considered ripping out my old fillings and replacing them. I do not have many, but I do have some. I decided, those years ago, to not rip them out because of exactly what you highlight here, that the process of ripping them out could end up more toxic to me than just keeping them. I used to grind my teeth in the past in my sleep, but I do not today. So I've just decided to "let it ride". If you disagree with that idea, am very willing to hear your view.
P.S. The worst case of Parkinson's that I ever saw was someone who for some time was very close to me, so I saw his Parkinson's in it's great, grinding detail. He was a former Dental Surgeon in the UK, and it is my view that the mercury/amalgams are what did this to him.

Hear-hear. I hope those charges against Big Pharm happen, and they cannot happen too soon.
Great info, thank you.
