I agree with not using suntan lotion or sun block. All natural is the way to go.
The problem with pills is they are mostly junk.
The pill makers use food waste from cereal companies, dog food companies, and other questionable sources. They subject the material to chemicals and they pull the nutrients out with kerosine derivatives.
Not something worth eating, IMO.
Besides that, Vitamin D is a hormone, not a vitamin (it was misclassified when discovered), and can only be produced in the body when there is sunshine and cholesterol. The D2 stuff is complete junk from plants and will do nothing for humans, and the D3 is from animals. Drinking raw milk might add some D3, some of which can be used to convert to human Vit D, but pasteurization destroys it. Then, they "add it back" via chemicals that have a molecular strucuture similar to real Vit D, and can legally call it "fortified with Vitamin D," but it is a lie.
Sunshine is key. That's why you see people detoxing ("cold and flu season") when the Sun is low in the sky, not so much when it is high in the sky. When sunshine is not available, eat quality animal foods (quality being the key).
Forget supplements. The only ones that work are the extreme high doses injected intravenously in a clinical setting. The pills you buy in the store or online are worthless. Actually, they are worse than worthless because they become toxins in the body.
Eat real food. Mostly animal foods. That's where the nutrition is -- both macros and micronutrients.
Raw milk is fantastic, but tough to get for many people. Damn shame.
All of the cells in our body die off and are replaced. You will build a whole "new you" in 8 months. The cells in your body now were not part of your body 8 months ago.
There are only two main substances needed to build cellular tissue: amino acids and fatty acids. Those come from protein and saturated fat. The protein you eat will not break down into aminos acids unless you also have saturated fat with it. That's why ALL animal foods have both.
Vitamins and minerals are more like the tools used to help the cellular activity do what it does, but to build new cells (which we do every day) requires protein and saturated fat.
Almost everything we are told in school and media about nutrition is wrong.

It's a travesty for sure.

I like the Aramaic word for "Our Lord is coming". Nice touch.
