Thank you. Once again you posted what and when I needed it most.
I have a hard time explaining this one to my wife.
It can sometimes be difficult to discern that the path we are following is the one laid down for us, or the one we think has been laid down for us.
In the end I trust in God and wait for something to happen, then I react to whatever that is as the best version of myself I can be and hope that it is right.
So far it has worked out 100% - not always as I expected and certainly not always as I wanted - but I cannot argue the results.
So here I am, no job for 8 months and I still believe something (the right thing) will happen to set things right.
I applied for half a dozen jobs - 4 of which I was told I was the top candidate by far - never even got an interview or call back in the end. Then, out of the blue I was contacted by an old colleague who was putting together a team to work on this big contract for a major firm.
Two of the other people he had gotten to buy in to this project were pretty much the two people I respected most from my previous contract.
Day rate the same I as was used to (which is plenty for me) and remote working - perfect.
Still waiting on the contracts to be signed etc. but it looks promising.
Trust in the Lord, he* knows what he's doing.
*I use the term 'he' as a convenience. I have no idea how to objectively describe God sufficiently, that's like asking a butterfly to describe Jupiter.
He blesses us in all ways, doesn't He? Amen
Words to live by. The more you trust the Lord, the better things go.
Yes! Amen!
Amen!
Amen.
And look at that face. That’s God made right there. And people out there want to rip this beautiful child to pieces. Don’t tell the devil isn’t hard at work. And that fool of a shepherd will lose, and lose bigly! Jesus is King!
Amen
Good. Do not think for yourself. Your Lord commands it!
I don't think that's what it means at all.
Hey. You're not supposed to be thinking!
