Why do your students need to know that? These people just want attention. They just want to feel special. Case in point her recording this to get more attention online.
I had a teacher once. She was gay. Had a partner. Everyone pretty much knew, nobody cared. She didn't throw it in everyone's face like "LOOK AT HOW BRAVE I AM", she just wanted to live her life. She didn't have the condescending bumper stickers. Or virtue signal about how she was oppressed. Or wearing the gaudy, obnoxious pride stuff.
If you can stand in front of a room and get a standing ovation for coming out, sorry, you are no longer oppressed
This isn’t teaching it's indoctrinating and it's about attention whoring.
Teach, keep your sexual preferences private, nobody cares, it’s not special.
It’s pathetic.
I have to agree as to what value does that add to the class room teaching experience?
