I gave up on this. Normies reply that there is nothing wrong in letting the politicians who did such a great job bet on the companies that are doing such a great job. These people are hopeless.
The people got into congress to get rich, so of course they would purchase stocks that will make them rich. How is it that Congressmen and women get into Congress making about $175 K/year, and after serving a few terms come out as multi-millionaires. They know the inside track. Check our Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi. Both worth mega millions because of inside stock trades.
Nancy Pelosi’s also worth a ton because her husband gets lucrative government contracts for “construction”.

I propose, if we don’t get rid of Congress when all is said and done, that a law be put in place that any member of Congress who works with lobbyists and votes in the affirmative to support the lobbyist or accepts any “gift” from said lobbyist, will be fined a substantial amount (say $5 million) and/or be forced to resign from Congress and may face prison time of no less than 10 years. This includes any remuneration to family members and immediate relatives within 10 years of leaving Congress. Also, any Congressional member involved in the stock market and who may benefit from a Congressional vote, will be forced to recuse themself from voting or face a $5 million dollar fine and/or a minimum of 10 years in prison. Same penalty if found to be coercing other members of a Congress to vote in any particular way. Also term limits of two terms for all House and Senate members.
Hitler had an interesting way of dealing with such corruption: he paid politicians a 20% bonus as compensation for outlawing their ownership of any stocks or receiving valuable "gifts" from anyone, including family members. Politicians were legally barred from giving insider trading advice to their friends and family also and they were watched very closely.

The only shocker is that their insider trading is being exposed. It's how they get rich - that and buying property they know the gov't will soon buy at the inflated prices they charge. That's sort of insider trading but you know they'd say that it has nothing to do with the stock market so it's okay.
