I remember a number of years ago while I was riding in bus in Mexico, I engaged in a conversation with a woman telling me about mountain people of Mexico. She said that some wealthy Americans came to a village wishing to adopt children, and the mountain people chased them away because they believed they had intentions to eat the children. At the time, I thought "Wow! Such primitive paranoid thinking people. White wealthy Americans would NEVER do that."
Many Palestinians have often had the "conspiracy" belief that Israelis capture their children and drink their blood. Of course nobody from that country would never do that.
"Blood Libel" is called by historians and media one of the most viscous lies of the past that was spread around by hateful and primitive people. Blood libel was the belief that a group of certain people ate bread that contained the blood of children. Evil! Disgusting! Nobody would ever eat bread with blood!
However, Wikileaks emails revealed that John Podesta and Marina Abramovic were discussing plans to engage in the Spirit Cooking Ritual which involves eating bread mixed with menstruation blood.
OK, gross. But would these people would never be involved with kidnapping children, right? Although we did learn that in 2010, Clinton counterpart was arrested in Haiti for kidnapping and trafficking 33 children, and was then released because of a phone call from the Clintons.
While past generations have been viewed as xenophobic, paranoid, and superstitious, how naive will future generations view us when they read about our trust for a class of people that called us sheep, while they start wars and pandemics?
People today mock the doctors in Washington's days for using leeches to cure illness. But how much more foolish will we look in the history books when people read about how we maimed, burned, and poisoned ourselves (through surgery, radiation, and chemo) to cure ourselves from cancer while there were ready available cures being hidden from us?
These is really exciting times, as I believe that within 10 years, our population may go from the most naive to the most aware generations ever.
The BLM movement will be seen as the resurfacing of fascism, Politicians of the Future will be met with heavy scrutiny,
Truth Social will hopefully be a rebirth of the Golden Age of Social Media: Twitter pre-Tumblr invasion YouTube pre-2012, and MySpace before Facebook killed it.
There's a chance we might become the new reddit, IF the subreddits don't splinter off into separate sites like TD.W pre-ban
"a rebirth of the Golden Age of Social Media"
Only if the systems hosting the social media are distributed ... they cannot be centralized ... especially something like YouTube and Twitter. This is ultra-critical.
No single entity can control the services. Blockchain or something similar can be used to determine who exactly uploaded stuff to prevent leftover scum spreading child pornography, but, outside of that, nothing should be censored. Nothing.
People need to get back into the following mindset :
1> Words do not hurt.
2> Say something stupid, suffer the consequences from people (not the government) you're calling out.
For example, if these Antifa freaks were to get a punch in the gut or jaw before they decided to give their life to that cause, there's a good chance they may have had a little sense beaten into them. Hell, in a drunken state I once went on a rant about "fucking unions" (teacher's unions, but that doesn't matter when it comes to steelworkers) and almost had the living shit beat out of me :-).
You want to run your mouth without thinking, prepare for consequences if you go too far. Liberals have gotten away with saying so fucking much mainly due to no threats of retaliation be it legal or street-wise :-). They'd shit through their piss-holes if they were to have to back up their slander in person.
If you're calling out people based on fact, you'll find that you have MANY people that will stand with you.
"There's a chance we might become the new reddit"
I think that will be the case :-) ... it is amazing how quickly this site came together too :-) (I'm sure there are devs that want to kill me making that statement seeing that few of us saw what went on behind the scenes to make the wins a reality :-) ).
The most advanced people live in out in the wilderness. Change my mind.
We were all nieve, until we learned something contrary to the norm.
If future generations look back and mock our situation or wonders how we reached this point, then they're in danger of repeating it.
