Can you think of a scenario that would have been smooth and enjoyable?
The people did not become disgusting over the past 2 years. They were always that way, but we didn't know it for sure. We suspected it of some, but did not realize how many were like that.
We didn't really know how many zombies are in our lives.
We didn't really know all the fake news psychopaths. We knew a lot of them were, but we didn't have the full picture.
Same with politicians. We didn't know how quickly they would become blood-thirsty tyrants. We could point to things like the Stanford Prison Experiment to make conjecture of what might be possible, but we didn't KNOW it.
We didn't know that Austrialian police would become the gestapo.
We didn't know that doctors were some of the biggest sheep in society.
We THOUGHT some of these things were true, to some extent, but we didn't SEE it with our own eyes. We didn't experience it for ourselves.
Even if it could have been shown on 24/7 TV, worldwide, the sheep would have thought it was all lies. They couldn't believe the "Big Lies" we were all told, even when confronted with it head-on.
No I cannot. Your points are absolutely valid. I make the comparison to revelations, because it means humanity as a whole is so depraved the world has to be destroyed?
I don’t like the idea that the flaws of the human race are this widespread.
I don’t like watching what we’re doing to each other. I don’t like worrying if I’m going to have to choose between eating or putting fuel in the truck to get to work.
So I know we very well may be on the right path, but I’m not enjoying it.

Seeing is believing. Unfortunately.
