Hey OP, your father's had a good run. At 94 years old, that's fair enough he have that opinion.
Realize that the Truth is probably that he knows, deep inside where everything's quiet, that The World is fucked right now, and really, at 94 years old, the only thing he can muster to make sense of it is to harp on you. He loves you and he's scared.
You know we are with you, and We Know this whole thing is making monkeys out of men.
When you get a chance, take a breath and dry your eyes and do the best you can with a 94 year old father who, unfortunately, still hasn't Figured It Out and likely won't before his Time is here.

This, exactly. I recently awakened myself out of a high demand almost cult religion. My awakening was mental torment-rebuilding every reality I knew (but doubted) and learning that my bullshit sensors were mis calibrated, badly. Once I made it thru the other side, I understood the pain I went thru. I just cannot put my elderly dad thru that. I keep my religious opinions quiet and tell myself, the pain it would cause him, now, so close to finding out the truth by death.... I can't shatter his world. I don't have the right to

I feel the same about my Mormon family, who were told by their prophet recently that (in no uncertain terms) they need to comply.
None of my son's Mormon friends and their wives and family are taking the jab. No way.
