Telegram and Gab are completely different creatures.
Telegram is great for something, crap for others. It's most certainly NOT a fluffbuk type social media platform, like Gab is. It's just not.
It's essentially a messenger-communication app, with expanded capabilities. Communication of text, video, images, and more, (Content), plus also communication individually, directly, in groups, or in channels.
The Web presence is essentially an extension of the PHONE app, while with Gab, that's NOT the case, right?
Having used telegram a lot this year, personally, I think its got very little or nothing to do with 'forcing new users to sign up', as much as it is essentially a messaging app like snapchat or whatsapp, based on phone.
