Came here to say that. The only thing cheaper and cleaner is geothermal energy, which prolly is not available in NYC. Of course Greenies are trying to malign it now. (Robbing mother Earth of its depletable heat. I am not kidding)
what about wind energy or hydroelectric? they will claim it is cleanest, although probably just supplies a small amount of the energy needs. They will run the generators with natural gas or coal, so really just a tit for tat. They fuck everything up.
Geothermal is available in NYC. It costs a bloody fortune. I read about a man that put it in his downtown Manhattan townhouse, went to enormous trouble and great cost, got it all up and running, and died shortly after. I’ll see if I can find some reference on it.
Copy and paste isn’t working, but the man, John Petrarca, completed the project in 2002 and passed in 2003. There is apparently plenty more geothermal activity happening and neighbors are freaking out about it. Shocker.
Another 'save the planet' vote by ignorant politicians. As power plants (as in electric generation plants) slowly convert from coal, they covert to NATURAL GAS. It is less efficient to use NATURAL GAS to generate electricity and then use the same electricity to create heat for a building. It is more efficient to use NATURAL GAS to create heat at the point of use. What happens when rolling brown outs occur like they do in Commiefornia.
I also remember reading that overall gas is far cleaner than electricity, but need confirmation on that.

Watt for watt they are more harmful. Nuclear and natural gas are by far the cleanest options we’ve got.
It takes more energy to produce a wind turbine than it will ever generate during its projected lifespan.
It takes a lot of energy just to produce the needed steel.

Yeah it costs a fortune to set up, but it costs hardly anything to run.

they won't be able to keep their electric cars, lawn mowers and bbq grills charged.
