Germans have a mentality that everyone sort of does what’s the non-dick thing and is logical. It’s a sort of naivite because Germany is largely very orderly. Take line-cutting - doesn’t happen. Nobody would do it cuz well if someone cuts in line everyone else has to wait so - that’s not a thing.
It means that it a bad person ascends to power and plays on the same shit like they do in the USA re Public Good - most Germans are so busy working hard they trust it.
I once spoke with a US WWII fighter Ace. I said, "What was your secret?"
The Ace said, "I knew Germans were highly methodical. So instead of rushing in for kills I watched them for patterns first. He noticed they always stayed airborne until the very last moment before going in for refueling. I just waited for them to land to refuel, knowing they couldn't come back up to get me, and I took them out on their approach to landing."
This guy had the most amazing stories. So glad we had the chance to chat.
If you live there this all makes sense.

Nietzsche shits on the Germans for this exact reason. He saw too much logic and rationale as a weakness and an indicator of a lack of will
