I’ve been changing out the no spill nozzles with old school nozzles and vent plugs that I bought online. Annoying to have spend more money but the quality of life is worth it.
“One of the lawsuits was filed by Karen Kornegay of Louisiana, whose 19-year-old son Dylan died in 2010 after suffering severe burns over 80 percent of his body. A can he had used to ignite a bonfire allegedly exploded and sprayed him with flaming gasoline.”
Quick, change the law and replace every gas container so that people can pour gas on bonfires safely.
Just throw the whole party away 🤦 they apparently hate guns and free flowing fuel containers.
Yeah it's all hot garbage but the GOP is clearly more of a threat to our rights and freedoms.
Yea
Bill was signed into law by Trump, in late 2020. According to the article you posted.
Yeah, originally Bush on '08 but then upheld in '20 by Trump. https://www.cpsc.gov/Newsroom/News-Releases/2008/New-Federal-Law-Mandates-Child-Resistant-Portable-Gasoline-Containers
Yea I despise these new gas cans though. I cling to my older ones like treasure, lol.
I didn’t downvote you btw. Not sure why you have been.
Plastic bags are an option too. ; )
Most likely downvoted because some people don't want to accept that they chose a shitty representative.
They are terrible. I throw the new spouts away and order the old school ones offline.
How did we all make it this far in life without these types of instances. Next will be milk cartons!!
Gotta start voting with intellect and not just prejudice 🤦
I modified mine so it was like the original ones.
Fills my mower and other small engines like the old ones did.
And you can't idiot proof the world.

You can buy non CARB compliant gas cans if you look for them. You can also buy kits to put vents and better dispensers in the cheaper plastic ones.

That's weird cause the new can laws took effect in early '09 from a late bush administration rule changing. 🤔
