Maybe… I just added an article talking about Texas having them support staff in youth prisons.
I was hearing about this from a friend. Lots of the statist-type workers are calling in sick cuz they are scared of getting Rona ( really just ducking off cuz they can get paid to do nothing and stay home ).
The comments I got were “These NG are doing a better job with these kids than the real guards ever bothered to do. This is the best thing for these kids in a long time. A lot of the kids are idolizing the NG and saying they want to get straight and join up.”
Now that's a beautiful thing to hear! The brave men and women of the military deserve our respect and adoration (not above the respect and adoration we give to God our King mind you) for being the ones to step out into the line of fire for millions of strangers. Truly amazing to witness the hand of God at work!
That was my take. I gained a LOT of respect for the National Guard types after Iraq. My friends in the Army started speaking about a few of the units with this sort of respect that was hard to understand. The NG guys were in charge of door-to-door in several areas and built a respect with the locals. Often they asked for NG instead of Army.
"These NG are doing a better job with these kids than the real guards ever bothered to do."
Sadly, liberals will demand that this sort of nonsense stops. We can't have people solving problems. There will be no demand for liberal legislation or services if this shit keeps up. These NG are not patriotic .... they are making lives better when everyone should be miserable one way or another. Shame! /s
This reminds me of a program a university started (I forget the specific university, but it was a state school in California). They were having problems getting instructors for tech-related night courses, so they decided to hire experts in industry to come in an teach. It was a big success. People were learning more since experts from places like Cisco were teaching networking courses. The course shifted to being more applied vs. theoretical. God forbid someone learns something by actually doing it instead of reading about it.
They stopped the program since professors were complaining that students were not being taught the way they wanted the students to be taught. What kind of a fucking piece of shit would put an end to something like that ... especially when nobody wanted to teach nights!?!?!?!? Half of these fucking pansies don't even want to teach ... teaching is beneath the fucking ivory tower dwellers in their sad, little tenured minds.

It’s amazing stuff.
I was gifted enough to get into a school here rgr shifted from “kill & drill” teaching that focused on memorization to an applied model where we had to interview people that were present at events and build things for our grades. The teachers didn’t give a crap about our opinions or takes - they wanted us to court the information and push the ball forward documenting what people really knew.
