Ladies and gentlemen, check this out:
There has been some hype about Nigella sativa as an ivermectin alternative. So I decided I wanted to figure out what was in it. Turns out we have a few exciting surprises!

"HPLC-DAD identified gallic acid, hydroquinone, apigenin, naringenin, ascorbic acid, cysteine, rutin, quercetin, and kaempferol."
THERE YOU HAVE IT, FOLKS.
Rutin is a compound that I identified in a thread I posed the other day. It is a naturally occurring compound that functions as a protease inhibitor just like Ivermectin, and it's an over the counter supplement. There is some good research out there.

Gallic acid? Turns out, also a protease inhibitor.

Apigenin? Guess what? Also a fucking protease inhibitor.

Naringenin? Of course it's also a protease inhibitor. Listen, if you can't guess by now...

Ascorbic acid is Vitamin C, I'm sure you already know all about Vitamin C.
Can't find much on cytesine yet. N-acetyl citesine yes, but not regular citesine. Yet...
Quercetin I'm sure you all know about by now. It's a good alternative ionophore to pair with zinc supplements. I'm pleased to hear that quercetin is also present in this plant.
Kampferol? This one apparently binds to ACE2 receptors and might help prevent C19 virus particles from latching on.

Well, I'd say that's a fantastic list of ingredients. Any other plants we can name that have those?
I know Elder Flowers have gallic acid, rutin, quercetin, apigenin, naringerin, kampferol, and vitamin C.
I also know Ginkgo leaf has apigenin, naringerin, rutin, quercetin, kampferol, and gallic acid. Not as much vitamin C though.
Those have many of the same ingredients and I bet they'd work similarly.
IT SHOULD BE NOTED:
Gallic acid, Rutin, quercetin, apigenin, naringin (which metabolizes in the body into naringenin), kampferol, every single one of those is OVER THE COUNTER IN THE USA.
Don't forget, according to Dr Zelenko, quercetin must be used together with vitamin C, to be an effective zinc ionophore.
I didn't mention vitamin C, D, or Zinc because I was fairly sure you guys already knew they were sold over the counter. Heh
Excellent info! Always good to get more options in the arsenal. Thanks for sharing!
God has given us all of nature's bounty. They'll never be able to ban them all!
Great information, and LINKS! If I were a Democrat I'd be making moar accounts and upvoting you repeatedly.
That said - please be sure to check with a doctor that you trust before starting a new supplement regimen. Just wanted to throw that out there. Love you all. Be safe and healthy.
Thanks
I have been taking black seed oil since before Covid. Also, fyi they now make gummy versions that kids will take.

Excellent post. I completely missed it months ago but think you for posting this.
Well, this is great info but... I'm at my local grocery store staring at a wall full of supplements. Which package do I take from their shelf and put into my shopping cart???
Vitamin C, D, Zinc, and Quercetin are probably going to be the easiest to find.
The rest of them you may have to order online.
Elderberry is a very common supplement in health food stores. Same with ginkgo. Those two will probably be easier to find in the supplement isle than Nigella sativa, or any of those other ingredients individually.
To find those other components in their relatively isolated supplement form, you'll probably have to go online unless you have a large specialty supplement store in you area.
So I am very comfortable taking Horse Ivermectin 1.87% using the plunger weight figure for dosage. I would still need to take the C, D, Zinc along with the Ivermectin for it to be effective correct? IOW, doesn't it take zinc to actually get it into the cell.
