Dan Sickles was also a Major General in the Union Army during the Civil War. He was a shitty General, a shitty person and a corrupt politician. He died in disgrace.
The dumbass of Gettysburg.. as Hancock said upon observing he and his command were far forward in an untenable position.. "He'll come tumbling back"... his men were routed.. Sickles probably wasnt the absolute worse cdr the union had..Burnsides was arguably the worst but he was just incompetent whereas Sickles was incompetent AND corrupt
