Some of us have been waiting for that ice to crack for over 20 years. The promised result is the culmination of decades of drama surrounding everything that is wrong with our world over the last 100+ years. Everything is connected and the end of this chapter of the story is so very close. It's torture. We are so close to absolute destruction or absolute victory. A little bit of frustration is warranted.
This is what keeps me from dooming too hard. Once I realized that a lot of folks here have been awake much, much longer than myself it allowed me to take a breath and regroup. If these folks can make it through decades in this war, then I can wait 2 more weeks at least. ;-)
Is feeling frustrated helpful? Typically, no. However, if frustration is seen as a source of feedback about ones current personal strength/weaknesses then used diagnostically, a frustrated person can get tougher and more immune to future frustration.
Being helpful has nothing to do with it. We aren't being frustrated by choice. Once you've swallowed the red pill you can't go back and ignore everything that is happening. We can't just go about our day being happy while our world is being destroyed. That's not how it works.

Frustration is "warranted" ie understandable? Ok.
