You know what, good on them!
Completely aside from 5G conspiracies, I wish them good riddance.
My 3G Phone is no longer functional outside of WiFi, and 5G deployment is to blame.
Phone works fine, runs like the day it was new (which is rare among planned obsolescence devices) and does everything I want it to do.
Yet because they don't want to continue 3G service (something that really doesn't cost them much at all since it is pretty much all software) my phone is soon to be bricked.
I'm all for advances in technology, but not at the cost of forcibly making the old obsolete with absolutely no alternative.
see my other posting of today, it refers to the NIH report on Covid and 5G. it supports the Conspiracy Analytics regarding a definite link between the 2 topics.

From NIH.gov - "Therefore, we recommend that all people, particularly those suffering from SARS-CoV-2 infection, reduce their exposure to WCR as much as reasonably achievable until further research better clarifies the systemic health effects associated with chronic WCR exposure." WCR = fifth generation [5G] of wireless communications radiation https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/articles/PMC8580522/
Thank you for sharing this study!

And we have to pay for the pleasure!!
My I-phone is so old my kids call it my I-1. Still works and no I do not take the updates. I don't need any more snooping on my life.
It makes no sense. The solution should have been to make and incentive for ISPS to make fiber to the home service quite affordable and where geographical and terrain made it impossible to run fiber, use terrestrial microwave backhaul links to serve areas where a fiber optic cable would be impossible to run. It is expensive to do but, the larger telecom providers could certainly do that for residential customers if they do that for businesses.
