One of my criteria when buying my house was not too close to the cell towers. IIRC one wants to be at least 400m away, from some reports I found. Having kids etc I didn't want to live near that.
Yeah I remember the LiFi TED talk was pretty impressive tech.
Yeah I definitely never use phone to my ear I always use wired ear piece or speaker. Though Kamala caught some shit for not using Bluetooth, it is better for security to use a wired earphone. Besides Iād lose AirPods very easily.
"'5G requires cell towers on every city block'. that doesn't sound good."
This is why these 5G cells will be used in the cities and it'll be much harder to implement in rural areas. The plan is to disguise 5G towers to look like trees, street lights, etc.
The health implications of 5G are very troubling. More countries need to follow Slovenia's lead. In France freedom fighters are sabotaging the cell phone towers and power stations. There may be an alternative.
Since 5G relies on higher frequency for propagation, the higher frequency works against its ability to propagate distance-wise. Higher frequency is the inverse of distance traveled. This means much more power is required for transmission and many more booster/repeater transmitters (cells) are required. All this to make things 10 times faster.
Essentially, these 5G cells have become line-of-sight to each other. Light Fidelity (LiFi) technology is a 100 times faster than standard Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is not 5G, but LiFi is still steadily growing in transmission range and overcoming obstacles in transmission paths. LiFi has strengths in energy efficiency and ultra-wide bandwidth.
LiFi offers higher data rates than 5G. Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) optical wireless is resistant to obstacles and is capable of adapting its throughput according to the current channel state information.

IMHO, I see this technology as being so much better than 5G. The power of light. We can do this.

Well, no. WiFi is faster. 5G is ~150-200 megabits per second. 5GHz WiFi is anywhere between 300-500, with 2.4GHz at up to around what 5G is.
5G's advantages over WiFi is the range, with 2.4GHz range being pretty short and 5GHz being shorter than that (though 5GHz is less crowded because of that).
Since 5G originates from towers, the distance covered is many, many, many times greater -- which would be why there are some concerned pilots.

Higher frequency is the inverse of distance traveled. It requires more power to transmit higher frequencies. Therefore, 5G requires many more times the towers (repeaters) than currently present.
Yeah, 5g cell towers is an obvious lie because 5g only travels 500 meters compared to 45 miles and about 1600 something meters are in a mile (not exact but guesstamate). It can only go so far because how millimeter waves function so when they say they improved the range its a lie and just 4g. 5g is like a microwave almost. They put boxes on power lines and claim towers are 5g.

It's also not true, as 5G has been rolled out in several places already.
