I don’t know if she was or not, I saw the whole episode as others did at the time, I didn’t know all that had happened inside the Catholic Church my statement was that he had to come out and inform all of what had happened.
I remember it as well and thinking she was an asshole for doing it, even though I'm not Catholic. I did think JP2 was a pretty decent Pope, but as we know, the Catholic church has been corrupt for a millennia. And they tried to assassinate JP2 also.
The only reason I think JP2 was remotely on the up and up is the assassination attempt. As a Catholic, I know full well the issues within the church, especially with most of our “Popes”. It’s disgusting.
