...and a self-proclaimed socialist, lovely
Are you familiar with how bad it was during his times for workers?
It's sort of like how the Dems used to be for workers but now it's all corpo controlled. And we were viewed as pro big business/religion/war, but now we are all about freedom of choice and think war is just a big laundering operation.
It was absolutely BRUTAL. The Jungle is essential reading.
Awesome book!
I swear. People think that the evil actors won’t be able to buy their way to the top in a free market. Capitalism is the best system, but it’s not perfect. We shouldn’t let people take advantage of the poor and desperate. I also think we should preserve the environment. The idea that people won’t destroy our beautiful country is a pipe dream. People act like lobbyists won’t exist in a free market.
Capitalism only works with a moral society there always will be evil but you need a vast majority to all be on the same page morally at this point it is a utopic pipe dream. My simple idea give every single man woman an child on earth a pistol an armed society is a polite society let's see what happens.
Even socialists can be correct about things. His work was crucial to protecting workers LIVES as some of these places would not give two shits if you were mangled to death in one of their wildly unsafe machines.
Everyone wants to eat.
Yeah he also showed how votes were bought even then right in the book. Cabal version of a movie telling us what they are doing to us at the turn of the century.
Books were the media.
That's what was so powerful about the video of the pharmacist who was so stunned by the blank insert that he admitted to the woman: "You're right, I should not be giving this injection."
"It is difficult to get a man to work hard without the incentive of financial reward. " - me.
Good quote... but that fucker almost single handedly gave us the FDA which is now pushing the vaxx shit on humanity...
And "The Jungle" was all based on lies
I admit I didn't know anything about him other than he was a writer. It is a good quote but having read his wiki, I see how much of a douche he was.
No worries pede... even a broken commie bastard clock like him is right twice a day!!!
And a good quote is a good quote.
Such a profound, relevant statement... perhaps never moreso than in today's upsidedown whirld?
I was making this point to a friend the other day about "climate change." Instead, I referenced academics who rely on .gov grants and such to make money, er.. do research. What do you expect them to find? Evidence contrary to the narrative? GTFOH
