I do the exact same thing, been doing this since they have been pushing masks. It does irk me walking into the grocery store and seeing employees masked, I use to say something about it at checkout but don’t bother anymore because the employees have no say in the matter and every store makes them wear them, even in a red state because the stores are big companies not mom and pop places.
