If it was random, wouldn't there:
- be other 100% matching sequences?
- be other beta COV's matching 11652?
The circulating virus has now mutated to "ditch" the proline. Proline was there in the engineered state to create an angle that was not a helix and stabilize bonds . Without it, the cleaved epitope would "twist" to the inside and not be accessible to bind to MHC-1 and MHC-2.
