I know we are trying to avoid them, but I caught the sickness and would feel 100x better with iv hydration. (Had HG with all my pregnancies, and feeling dehydrated now)
Thoughts?
Edit: thanks y’all, I decided to forgo the IV hydration and just push liquids. Took a salt tab as well feeling much better than earlier
Gatorade and/or pedialyte have electrolytes that may help if you are hesitant to go in.
Liquid IV packs from costco
Was gonna suggest that but only if op knows how to use.
That being said, search up on the NlH PMC6628855 PMC2973827 for more information about zinc and zinc ionophores. lvm and hcq aren't the only ones. Quercetin is otc if memory serves.
Find a naturopath to give you IV vitamin C. Drink TONS of coconut water.
Find local non-healthsystem affiliated independent providers. More are popping up everywhere. Many have infusion services as well.
They probably won’t take insurance, but it will be worth it to escape the tyranny.
Do you happen to have any incites about how to find non-health system, independent healthcare providers? I don't want to use 'google', of course, and I'm no longer trusting of the "mainstream" information resources the web is going to produce.
I would say use social media. I could give you local recommendations here in MO, but I doubt those would work for you unless you wanted to do a one time telehealth appointment.
A friend's doctor said that oral hydration is preferable to IV hydration (early stages). I used to counsel pregnant women. When they were vomiting a lot, I suggested that while watching TV, at every commercial they take a sip of fluid (water, gatorade, etc). Not a gulp, but a sip. You can absorb a lot of sips without having enough in the stomach to trigger vomiting. Drinking too much at one time can make you feel pretty miserable. Hope you are feeling hydrated soon.
Drink more water but add 1/4 tsp salt to that big glassful. Keep your electrolytes up where they belong. There is a reason that I.V fluids are saline. You willing to get tested for covid at the dr.s? Better decide that right now. Then you are officially "in the covid system" of medical records.
just make sure you write your will first, cause they're gonna put you on a ventilator and resmdevir
Live on soup/broth, it will increase sodium and thirst will be enhanced.
No way I would go to clinic.
I'd try an infusion center before a hospital. These infusion centers are popping up everywhere. Maybe there is one in your area you could check to see if they do IV hydration.
Do not go to the hospital. Unless you break a bone. Even then id mull it over.
Check your heart rate. If it’s less than 110, push push push fluids. Goal is to feel the urge to void every 2 hours. After that, you can slow up a little.
There are places you can go that just give you an IV. They're usually for drunk people or athletes, but anyone can go.
I keep bottled water handy everywhere. Most people need to drink more water and less of everything else.
You could try Urgent Care before going to the dr or ER; that's kind of what they're there for (not an emergency but want to be seen). I wonder if they would do a vitamin drip, or just Vit C drip.
My wife and I went to an IV clinic, it was expensive, around 180 per person. We got their wellness treatment with added D and Zinc. It really sped up our recovery.
