I like your posts - a lot.
But I also occasionally (and recently) see you getting bent out of shape about downvoting stalkers. I'd further say this particular post is a little "weird" and honestly makes me... worried isn't the right word... slightly concerned that it's getting to you. In all fairness, people have been being dicks to you, but you're making yourself an easy mark by bothering to reply to them.
I like you and your posts a lot. When I'm at my best I love you and everyone else on this site. WWG1WGA, obviously.
Anyway, you're a high octane, highly focused contributed here. I get that; sometimes I get too high octane and focused as well. And when I start letting it get to me I think of something my wife told me:
"It's easier to go forward than backwards." AKA sometimes everyone needs a breather, dummy.
Do what you need to do, Brother. Thank you SO MUCH for the incredible amount of content you bring. It's a very grueling job. o7
Thank you....it's not about the downvotes as such....Not all people will agree with what I say.... However when I noticed that there were downvotes regardless of the content immediately the hairs stood up on the back of my neck(ulterior motives).....an example....A patriot asked us on here to pray for her which I did....Got 3 downvotes immediately!!!.....WTF does that tell you......??
I think you're over-analyzing. Purk doesn't seem to take the troll attacks personally.
This place is currently being undermined by a massive shill wave, which goes unnoticed by a majority. Forum-sliding has successfully changed this place (for the worse) in only a few weeks. Divisive shills pop up in every popular thread. Reddit-style downvote trolls follow active contributors such as u/purkiss80.
This post brings attention to the problem. That is a good thing.
ETA: Within 5 minutes, both of my comments including purk's username were downvoted. That indicates a dedicated effort to undermine this community. It could just be some reddiot living a pathetic life full of hate, OR it could be a more organized and sinister perpetrator...
Yeah, it's possible I'm overanalyzing. It's what I do with my morning coffee. Just trying to be humane in my wording, which I admit wasn't as articulate as I wanted. There's a lot going on over here in the A.M. lol.
But yes, we are definitely under a wave of shilling, I agree with that assessment 100%. And they ARE targeting purkiss - I just hate to see someone get demoralized over such an obvious attack.

I didn't mean to come off as refuting your original point. 100% agree with everything you said. And we all should be careful not to waste our time engaging shills, or those who say the sky is green.
Hopefully purk gets a morale boost from the replies here. And I hear those South Africans can be quite resilient...
