Never experienced this. I've been a regular Cannabis user for almost 20 yrs now. Consume THC multiple times daily with no problems. It's better I consume than not. Helps in dealing with chronic pain from a fusion of L5-S1, my anxiety/depression, and my PTSD, and TBI. Helps me even out to better control the rage problems I have. Family prefers me using THC than not. So does my psychologist AND my psychiatrist. Doc @ the V.A. agrees, too. Benefits do outweigh any potential risks or side effects. Without it l, I don't sleep due to the recurring nightmares and memories of me Navy EOD days.
Plus, I take Kratom to help minimize the pain in my back, hips, and legs. This helps immensely, too.
Never heard of the condition you've experienced. I pretty much only consume the flower, or bud, smoked out of a pipe. Don't do edibles too often because they don't work as well for me.
If I had to venture a guess, I'd say it was the edibles themselves. They probably had a very high THC count and very low CBD count. The higher the THC level, usually over 70-75%, mixed with a low, or even 0 CBD count will cause severe anxiety, psychoactive behavioural issues, and will heavily alter a person's mood, though patterns, and can even cause mania (one half of bipolar disorder).
So, I'm thinking it was the near constant consuming of edibles that caused this issue.
Probably doesn't apply to you since it hasn't happened yet, but I've consumed THC for 15 years before this happened. And I wasn't an all day smoker or eating edibles every night. Every other night only at bedtime. Really strange...
Just letting you know just in case it comes on like it did for me.
There is no terpine or cannabinoid in existence that will do that to you. Period, end of story. The entourage effect will not do that to you. Combustible plant material will not do that to you.
You're WRONG and you need to look further into it, redditboy

Doesn't happen to everyone, but it is becoming more common these days. Glad it is helping you.
Awareness is all I'm getting at. It happens with any form of cannabinoids. Check out https://www.reddit.com/r/CHSinfo/
