enjoin
v. for a court to order that someone either do a specific act, cease a course of conduct, or be prohibited from committing a certain act. To obtain such an order, called an injunction, a private party or public agency has to file a petition for a writ of injunction, serve it on the party he/she/it hopes to be enjoined, allowing time for a written response. Then a court hearing is held in which the judge will consider evidence, both written and oral, listen to the arguments and then either grant the writ or deny it. If granted the court will issue a final or permanent injunction. A preliminary injunction or temporary injunction are orders made by the court while the matter is being processed and considered, based on the petition and any accompanying declarations, either of which is intended to keep matters in status quo (as they are) or prevent possible irreparable harm (like cutting trees, poisoning a stream, or moving out of the country with a child or money) until a final decision is made. (See: injunction)
So, not discounting the obvious negative side effects BUT could the whole "race to vaccinate" be essentially a land rush by the pharmaceutical industry knowing that they had only a "short" window before any established mandates would crumble the second they hit the legal system?
I mean, it's good and all. Just not as amazing as it would be if an actual Federal entity sued the resident, thereby freeing all Federal employees from the mandate.
My understanding as a federal employee -- gleaned from a couple legal eagle friends elsewhere in the federal gov't -- is that this does indeed apply across the board to all federal gov't employees. Yes, it's a temporary injunction...but given the number of "mandates" that have been going down in flames lately, I'm starting to feel better about NOT having to further defend my requested exemptions.
Now that the mandates seem to be in retreat, I feel bad for the people who felt forced to take them. I know, I know, they should have quit their jobs. But some people with small children don't feel like they can do that.
Yeah my sister in law works for the fed. She caved around November, before the deadline. It was her and a coworker who were the only two NONvaccinated. The coworker retired right before she was fired, according to her. So my sister in law, knowing the dangers, took the jab. I hated it for her. Her basic thought was, “y’all have a dangerous job, that you do everyday. You take chances everyday on your job. This will be my chance day.” My and my brother do dangerous work, as far as falling, getting crushed, etc. Construction. It’s why she convinced herself, her desk job, at home mind you, had no risks. So this was hers. I told her I hope one day she can sue the federal government for this. I also pray for her health.

Thanks! I was thrown by "enjoin."
Down they go.
This is the best news! Thanks so much for sharing! My husband is a fed and we both have natural immunity.
No federal employee mandate?
Not sure I understand this one….

Does this include military, because they are part of federal branches.?
I don't know that the plaintiff's could be strictly considered federal.

This is so sad.
What the hell does "enjoined" mean? 😕
Kinda being told to do something by court.
